Now that you are joined by your parents lets talk about some things going on in room 501.
1) Book-reports are due every month end. This month's is due September 30. The format and worksheets for the book-report were handed out in class and explained. Hopefully, you are getting started.
2) Every month I expect my students to read for 500 minutes. This is part of their reading mark. This is reading done outside of class time. Please record that your child has read the required minutes by using the agenda, or the calendar that was sent home Friday, September 4. You can keep track: daily/weekly/monthly, as long as I see a parent signature and quick note stating the amount of time read.
3) On Tuesday there will be a quiz on the procedures of Davison school and room 501. There really is no way to study besides using common sense and by paying attention this last week. Everything on the short quiz was discussed and practiced numerous times.
4) Meet the teacher has been set for September 16. 7:00 younger grades (K-4), 7:30 for older grades (5,6). There will be a lot of information for you that day and I hope to meet all of you!
